You weren't going to get much out of Gilbert because he found it hard to get into a relationship as far as the love story goes. He found himself with the married woman because his family kept him from having real relationships. He gave his life for his family. And flipped his lid a few times. He deserved a beautiful soul like Becky. He burned the house to save his mother's dignity. The sisters were old enough tp go it alone together l, they all decided. I love your reaction. This is my favorite movie. How could you not cry lol, it was heartbreakingly beautiful! Imperfect people, life.... awesome.

I just wish that Peter Pan 2 was a little bit longer but hey it is good and this movie is still a part of my childhood and one of the first Disney movies i saw when i was around 3-4 years old

Every time I watch this movie, it always makes me think about how much I want a brother, cause if I had one I would do anything to protect him no matter what.

I must say that I did like the movie Robin Hood all a hero, but I couldn't tell how scary Prince John is when I see him surrounded by piles of money and imprisoning poor people, for me he is like living greed; but I also like the relationship of Robin with Lady Marian, even if that is not a lot of time on screen or they have been separated before they know that they love each other aww and I also like Robin in the middle of the fight he proposes to Marian, (I don't see proposals like that often)

I did like the live action, the part that brought me to tears the most was when everyone: Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts and Chip were turning into immobile objects

A lot of people thought this was a bad movie or a phone in movie or a massive advert for Lego. It turns out most people love this movie.

Love Survives was not originally written for the movie. It was added before All Dogs Go To Heaven was in theaters. Judith Barsi starred as Anne Marie and in 1988 her abusive father murdered Judith and her mom in cold blood. Judith's father later killed himself within days of killing Judah and his wife. one time there was a death in Judith's family before she died. The mom had a family member die. Her husband Joseph hid the letter letting her know so she couldn't go because she didn't know. Some years before their deaths Judith starred in a true crime movie about a man who murdered his wife and kids. Scarry considering what happened.

One of the things I noticed is that Quasimodo refers to Frollo as master instead of dad or father. Frollo purposefully wanted Quasimodo to feel subservient and inferior to him.

Never could buy the romance in part 1. Feels formulaic me. And, worse, the chase by Cal of the two on a f*cking sinking ship in part 2. Beyond credulity, I’m sorry.

The thing with the Once-ler is he wasn't really evil he was just trying to make his family proud but in reality nothing ever would have really made them proud he was blinded and eventually learned from his mistake

The oldest brother (Jack Jr.) I believe was electrocuted by a fence, where he fell face down in melted snow and drowned. There was a sixth brother actually that they left out of the movie for runtime, Chris Von Erich. He sadly also passed the same way Kerry did in his 20’s, by his own hand. So Kevin literally lost five brothers. Three of them by their own hands. It’s truly horrific.

Music is Hans Zimmer and voice in the songs is Bryan Adams both are legendary though Bryan is best known for his hits like "Summer of 69" and "I do it for you"

The way way back reminds me of the John Hughes movies that I grew up watching.

Roald Dahl didn’t like this film he didn’t want any of his stories being adapted into feature films he also dislike Gene Wilders performance and didn’t like how Willy Wonka name is on the title instead of Charlie and he decided to forbid Hollywood to not adapt the book sequel while he was alive until his death in 1990

Fun fact: legendary British actor John Cleese was asked to voice Basil of Baker street but Cleese declined since he was cast in the non Disney movie a fish called wanda which was released in 1988. Another fun fact: the great mouse detective movie was based on a book series called Basil of baker street. That was originally going to be the title of the film adaptation, but then Disney ceo Jeffrey Katzenberg found the title to sound too British and feared audiences wouldn’t know what the movie was about. A movie called young Sherlock Holmes had a similar problem with it’s audience, so Katzenberg felt the too British title would hurt Basil’s performance.

The utter sophistication of the animation in this exquisite movie is extraordinary-ordinary! The height of animated storytelling. A banquet for the eyes, music & dialogue riveting the heart! I treasure this film!! And I KNEW you wouldn’t give it the higher/highest rating. Just had a feeling.

A fun fact I feel that people should know about the music itself; throughout the entire film, all the music was made by one man in particular, Alan Menken, who made basically any Disney film you've ever seen (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Tangled, and even non-Disney things such as Little Shop of Horrors, Newsies, everything down to the sound effects in Home Alone). For this movie, in particular, he used Latin, which all of the Angels/Spirits are chanting. When Frollo says, "It's not my fault," they reply, "Mea Culpa," which translates to "(it is) My fault!" When Frollo says, "God have mercy on me," they reply, "Kyrie eleison," which translates to "Lord Have Mercy." Though the original story, he has more compassion which is shown both in the French translation and stage play, instead of insisting it isn't his fault he pleads and asks the saints "Is it my fault?!" Frollo is shown as a more Holy and less cruel man in the stage addition and the original novel by Victor Hugo (who also wrote Les Miserables). Though it doesn't justify his racism and harassment, compared to the original versions of him, he is not portrayed well in this film. (Also, the ages are all horrible, Esmerelda is originally 14, Phoebes is near 40, and so is Frollo)

Fun fact: When Johnny Depo runs into the elevator, the first time he did that was completely on accident, but he did it again the second time because he felt it was in character for Willy Wonka.

I always skip the first (tedious) 10 mins or so & then this is Disney's masterpiece IMO
